Absolutely, the cardholder paying for the policy may be different to the policyholder.
It is quite common for a parent to pay for their grown-up child's policy if they are borrowing their car, for example. As long as the policyholder has the express permission of the cardholder to make payment, then this is fine.
However, please be aware that due to data protection legislation we will only be able to discuss a policy with the policyholder, regardless of who has paid for it. If the policyholder would like us to discuss the policy with a person other themselves, we will require the policyholder's permission to do so.
Also, please bear in mind that it is the policyholder who will benefit from the cover in place, regardless of who has paid for the policy.
