Reasons why payment is not being accepted

Updated over 3 months ago

We accept all major credit cards including American Express as well as Google Pay and Apple Pay, however sometimes a payment may be declined. These are the most common reasons for a decline:

Incorrect cardholder details

Your issuing bank may have declined the transaction because it was unable to match the card number to the cardholder details entered on the payment page. Please ensure the correct name and address of the cardholder is entered if prompted.

Potential fraud

Our payment provider uses sophisticated systems to detect and block potential fraudulent transactions. If the card details entered have been flagged as a high risk payment attempt, the transaction may be blocked.

Insufficient funds

Your issuing bank will decline the payment if there are not enough funds available in your account to make payment.

Too many attempts

Sometimes a payment will be declined because of numerous attempts made on the card in a short period of time - this is a common indicator of fraud. Please try again with a different card if possible.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept cash, cheque or bank transfer payments.
