Once a policy is purchased online and cover is confirmed, we instantly send the details of your policy to the MID database provider, Motor Data Solutions. They will upload the details of your insurance to the MID, which is updated twice per day.
The MID is an official database of insured vehicles in the UK, providing a centralized record of insurance policies.
Whilst technology is pretty speedy getting everything updated on the database, there can sometimes be delays in the insurance showing, especially in cases where the cover is purchased to start instantly.
However, these delays in updating the MID do not invalidate your insurance coverage if your policy is confirmed.

This certificate confirms your active coverage and ensures you are legally insured, even during MID update delays.
